Before we talk about shops / boost-services — understand the legit method:
- It used to be that only owners of the Deluxe Edition of The Witch Queen got instant access to the Exotic. But now — the regular edition (or at least owning the base expansion) seems to suffice, as crafting was opened up for all players.
- Once crafted, you can level up the weapon to unlock its Catalyst (special upgrade), which unlocks extra perks.
Bottom line: As of now, you don’t strictly need to “buy” Osteo Striga — if you own The Witch Queen expansion, just complete the campaign and craft it. That’s the “cleanest” method.
Why people still consider “buying / boosting” — and what that means
Because:
- Farming the campaign + gathering crafting resources + ensuring you have enough drops/weapon-leveling can take time and effort.
- Some players don’t want to wait or don’t have the time/interest to grind.
So there is a demand for services that do the dirty work for you: they log in (or guide you) and get you the SMG (or even the catalyst) faster. That’s where “boost services” come in. But you need to treat these as risky shortcuts.
Services / Websites that currently claim to sell or boost Osteo Striga
Here are several of such services. I list what they claim to offer — but also what to check/expect.
|
Service / Platform |
What They Offer |
What to Check / Be Wary Of |
|
Overgear |
“Osteo Striga Boost” — guarantee exotic SMG, complete campaign + crafting, deliver weapon. |
They ask for account access / “carry” — risk of account security, ToS violation; confirm whether they claim just crafting or also Catalyst. |
|
Epiccarry |
Carry / boost service: finish campaign + crafting + deliver Osteo Striga; often “piloted mode” or “self-play + booster.” |
Requires giving credentials or session-sharing; need to check guaranteed drop vs “attempt.” |
|
KBoosting |
“Pattern unlock / crafting boost” — they claim they’ll get the pattern and shape the gun for you. |
Often piloted (account sharing); same security / ToS caveats. |
|
Skycoach |
Offers catalyst-unlocking boosts for Osteo Striga (once you already have it) to expedite weapon leveling. |
You still need the base weapon; risk if they use account-sharing; verify actual leveling vs promises. |
What to check if you consider buying / boosting instead of earning legitimately
If you decide to go the service route — treat it like a risky transaction:
- Account security: Services often ask for login credentials or require you to enable session sharing / remote play / cross-save toggles. That exposes your account.
- Guarantee vs attempt: Rarely is “guaranteed exotic + catalyst + perks + loot” legitimate. If they promise “100% drop” — be very skeptical. Better if they say “we complete campaign + crafting; outcome depends on RNG.”
- Transparency & proof: Ask for proof — screenshot of SMG in your vault, timestamp, platform info. Without that, you have no evidence if something goes wrong.
- ToS / Ban risk: Boosting services often break game’s Terms of Service. There’s a chance of account flagging or worse — consider whether losing account access is worth the gain.
- Price vs time tradeoff: Sometimes the grind isn’t that heavy compared to what you pay. If you value control and safety — legit crafting might be better.
My take: When it’s smart to grind — and when (if ever) a boost might make sense
You should go legit (craft via campaign) if:
- You care about account security and don’t want to risk bans / breaches.
- You enjoy the game, don’t mind the time investment, or want the satisfaction of earning the weapon.
- You like to stay clear of shady shortcuts and want to set an example on your platform / clan.
You might consider a boost only if:
- You don’t care about long-term account security (e.g. you have alternate account, or you don’t care much about gear beyond the SMG).
- You’re willing to accept all the risks (account sharing, potential ToS violations, RNG not guaranteed).
- The service offers transparency, clear terms, and the “cheapest” reasonable price — and you treat it strictly as a convenience, not a guarantee.
